It is no secret that May sales were very slow. Some think it was Diablo 3, or the good weather or the fact that many of our people are working overtime right now. I don't know what exactly the problem was but I know that it has left us very dangerously short on funds.
The T-Shirt Fundraiser has been going very well. We are still accepting orders and will be for a little while longer. I am hoping to have these in by the end of the month, or early in July at the latest. I have no experience with this but I am working a deal with one of my vendors to get them printed.
This has helped us a lot but we definitely aren't out of the woods yet. Things are improving for sure. Party sales are getting moving again, after being nonexistant in May. RedPlanet night tonight was the busiest we have had in quite a while! We had 4 on 4 Martian Football most of the night and even had a couple people taking a break most of the time. I am getting a few requests to be open a little earlier on weeknights, I am considering those options and I hope to have that sorted next week. SRGE is coming up quick and we are going to have a lot of fun with those guys.
But that brings me to the next problem. I have a couple of bills on the verge of becoming an emergency. I also need to get some stuff printed for SRGE and a few other promotional things I have been working on. I need to replenish the adwords account desperately and purchase some facebook ads. Money is just too tight to sort all this out right now so I am going to offer a VERY limited quantity of unlimited summer passes. The First 5 people that pay $300 + tax will not pay for games between June 15th and September 15th! (Tournament entry fees not included).
So that means any time we are open you can play as much as you want all Summer long! If you are already on the $100 members package for June you will save $50 on the Summer Pass (only fair since it starts on the 15th)!
We will see how this goes, if these sell very quickly I may consider releasing a very few more but they will be in extremely limited quantity, we cannot sell very many of these without causing pod availability problems and other issues.
